Position Overview

Deel is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee the processing of payroll data for Australian employees. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with Australian payroll laws, and providing excellent support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing of payroll data for Australian employees.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including verification and reconciliation of salaries, hours worked, and deductions.
  • Assist with Australian payroll tax calculations and filings.
  • Provide support to employees for payroll-related questions and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian payroll laws and regulations.
  • Lead the implementation of new payroll processes and systems.
  • Manage end-to-end Australian Payroll Processing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience in end-to-end processing of Australian payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
