Candidates must have 12+ years of experience in partnerships, alliances, channel, or business development roles, preferably in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software. A minimum of 5 years of direct experience managing or building SI or consulting partner relationships in Japan is required. Proven success in exceeding partner revenue or pipeline quotas, deep commercial acumen with a strategic market view, and fluency in Japanese with strong business English communication skills are essential. Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities are also necessary.
The Senior Partner Development Manager will own and grow a portfolio of strategic partners in Japan, focusing on pipeline creation, deal collaboration, and revenue influence. Responsibilities include developing and executing joint go-to-market strategies, establishing field alignment between partners and dbt Labs’ Sales teams, and driving sales engagement and enablement with Data & AI Cloud partners. The role also involves identifying, recruiting, enabling, and managing new and existing consulting partners, collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams, developing best practices for partner engagement, building partner account plans, and tracking partner performance and ROI. Additionally, the manager will shape partner engagement practices, contribute regional feedback to global strategy, and support asset localization for the Japanese market.
