Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Seven (7) years of related experience
  • One (1) or more years of equivalent industry experience preferred
  • At least one (1) year of systems engineering experience
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean Sigma skills and experience (Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt desired)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance to all manufacturing, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate resources to ensure correct priorities are addressed and forecast is attained
  • Implement programs that improve labor efficiency, on-time delivery, continuous quality improvement, and other corporate or customer requirements
  • Lead the investigation of production issues to solve problems that would otherwise cause manufacturing delays
  • Overall responsibility for manufacturing operations, ensuring assembled hardware meets quality, cost, and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production
  • Exemplify and hold team accountable to demonstrating Plexus Core Values
  • Evaluate potential, drive succession planning, and ensure employees receive development and coaching to realize their full potential
  • Deploy manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools, and metrics to measure progress, identify root causes, production capacity, quality, and staffing issues, and develop/implement corrective action plans
