Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering is required, including at least 3 years in a senior or lead role. Naval engineering experience is strongly preferred, along with proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. A strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes is essential, while experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus. Excellent project management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
