Candidates must possess at least 6 years of experience as a CAD/PLM administrator with Siemens NX and Teamcenter, demonstrating expert-level proficiency in Siemens NX, including 3D modeling, drawings, and large assembly management. Expertise in ASME Y14.5 GD&T and Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) is required, along with hands-on experience managing complex engineering data and workflows in Teamcenter PLM, including BOMs, ECNs, and release processes. Familiarity with CAD/PLM integration into ERP/MES systems, CAD data migration, system transition planning, and troubleshooting CAD performance issues is essential. Experience with AWS GovCloud, VDI environments, and cloud-based CAD/PLM deployment is necessary, as are strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, IT, and QA teams. Certifications in AWS and/or Siemens NX/Teamcenter Administration are a plus.
The Advanced NX CAD/CAE Specialist will serve as a technical toolsmith and support resource for engineering teams, assisting with large-scale assemblies, maintaining modeling standards, and optimizing workflows using advanced NX tools like WAVE linker and interpart linking. Responsibilities include system administration of Siemens NX CAD within Teamcenter PLM on AWS GovCloud, managing upgrades, patches, and backend stability. The role involves providing user support and training, developing NX workflows, automation scripts, templates, and modeling standards to improve efficiency and data quality, and ensuring CAD/PLM data integrity, security, and backups. The specialist will prepare NX models for analyses, produce high-quality 2D drawings with ASME Y14.5 GD&T and PMI, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align CAD/CAE strategies with business objectives. Additionally, the role requires diagnosing performance issues, mentoring engineers, and sharing best practices.
