Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience, demonstrating subject-matter expertise in Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), U.S. Navy Instructions, building codes, and other regulations and requirements pertinent to the modernization and construction of state-of-the-art facilities supporting energetics and explosives ordnance. Strong management skills and the ability to manage an active portfolio of projects are also required.

Responsibilities

The U.S. Navy Facilities Design Engineer Subject Matter Expert will provide engineering and technical expertise to a team of design professionals, overseeing engineering design teams supporting construction and renovation projects for energetics and explosives ordnance facilities, ensuring designs conform to DoD UFC, NAVSEA Instructions, and relevant regulations, codes, and standards, reviewing submittals, fulfilling client expectations, and overseeing post-construction award services when necessary.
