Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in architecting enterprise IT infrastructure solutions. A minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools like Ansible and Terraform is required, along with proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or shell scripting. Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available public cloud infrastructure, building or maintaining bare metal K8S container infrastructure at the edge, and deploying/maintaining distributed storage systems like Ceph are essential. Proficiency with monitoring solutions including Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki, and experience with capacity/performance management, monitoring, and tuning are also necessary. Familiarity with distributed version control systems like GitHub or Gitlab is required.
The Senior Systems Development Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of compute and storage systems globally. This includes designing, building, and maintaining automation tools for infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management, as well as architecting fault-tolerant systems and disaster recovery strategies for both on-premise edge and public cloud environments. Key duties involve proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, providing technical leadership for server and storage infrastructure, and standardizing systems through policy and SOP development. The role also includes conducting research on new technologies, reviewing system designs for improvements, and participating in an on-call rotation to manage incidents, focusing on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
