Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day effective management of production, ensuring products are produced in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Establish performance targets for the Business Unit(s) and monitor actual performance against targets, taking corrective action where needed
  • Leadership of one or multiple high-performing teams across units, providing guidance/direction to operational and functional areas, fostering proactive and continuous improvement
  • Mentor and coach other Operations Managers
  • Ensure sufficient processes are in place for capacity planning to meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Sponsor an environment of Safety, Quality, People Development, and Continuous Improvement (CI) by defining standards and roles/responsibilities
  • Champion a positive employee environment promoting open communication, engagement, inclusiveness, trust, flexibility, and teamwork
  • Ensure effective processes for selection of competent talent, development of future experts and leaders, training, and performance management
  • Sponsor and ensure engagement in all internal and external audit programs (e.g., Corporate, notified body, FDA audits)
  • Oversight to ensure operation units maintain adherence to all KPIs (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, People Development); monitor and assess improvement opportunities in local and global forums
  • With global alignment, ensure necessary capacity is in place across the network to meet customer demands
  • Represent Operations in NPI launches, ensuring resource availability and FG product for launch plans; foster cross-functional collaboration and develop strategies
  • Contribute as a key member of the Site Management Team to develop and implement an operational execution plan for the site
  • Build a high trust and engagement culture within operations; lead and demonstrate engagement-driving behaviors
  • Build and develop talent within the function and site; support/mentor team members and participate in talent review processes
  • Ensure effective performance management, communications, and recognition within the function
  • Support and/or manage major CI Programs, including all phases from idea to execution
  • Project manage complex improvement initiatives as required
