The ideal candidate will be an experienced enterprise technology contract negotiator with a strong sales mindset and a drive to close deals that make good sense. They should possess operational experience in smoothing inefficient processes for quick, accurate, and scalable deal closures. This people manager role requires a player/coach capable of managing complex deals while guiding and mentoring team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to present analysis clearly are essential. The candidate must also be able to lead technical conversations around SaaS technology and encourage innovation and thoughtful risk-taking among their team. Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills are necessary, along with a bias for execution, a high level of drive, and creativity to improve their area of responsibility.
Manage a team of contract negotiators across the APJ region. Serve as a trusted advisor to APJ sales leaders, accelerating revenue through thoughtful customer negotiation and internal process improvement. Represent SailPoint in negotiations with large and demanding customers. Act as the primary escalation point for issues raised in contracts negotiations by APJ Contracts teams and senior APJ sales leadership. Enable, mentor, guide, and develop direct and indirect reports. Influence and lead commercial operations functions aligned with APJ that do not directly report to this role. Accomplish results through individual contributions and empowered direct reports. Reinforce SailPoint's Core Values to the AMS Contract team. Drive engagement by encouraging innovation among direct and indirect reports, fostering an environment for employee innovation and thoughtful risk-taking. Collaborate with key leaders across internal stakeholder groups to create automated and policy-based solutions that enable expedient deal closure while balancing customer and company interests.
