Requirements

The candidate should possess at least 3 years of experience in contract management or compliance, or 2 years of experience in an in-house legal or contracts department, preferably within a software company and with experience in a professional services environment. A post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, law, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required. Experience in the healthcare and/or technology industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Contract Specialist will prepare, review, negotiate, and administer various commercial agreements, including software license agreements, partner agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and service agreements. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contract terms meet legal, financial, and operational standards, and implement policies and best practices for contracts and procurement. This role also involves supporting the RFP process, reviewing vendor contracts, maintaining a contract management system, providing guidance on contractual risk, assisting in negotiations, maintaining a vendor database, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and generating reports while adhering to privacy and confidentiality policies.
