Requirements

  • Experience in field engineering or similar technical client-facing roles in the energy sector (upstream, midstream, downstream)
  • Deep technical expertise in industrial data platforms, AI, OT/ET/IT data integration, and digital transformation for asset-heavy industries (Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pharma, Manufacturing, Energy)
  • Ability to design and coordinate complex, cutting-edge solutions, including integration architectures and technical roadmaps
  • Leadership skills to operate as both a technical contributor and leader, mentoring peers, onboarding, supporting best practices, and strengthening technical communities
  • Strong collaboration skills with services teams, partners, clients, Account Executives, and Sales teams
  • Capability to develop scalable, repeatable solutions, client-focused demos, reference architectures, and solution accelerators

Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical liaison to key clients, establishing trusted relationships and ensuring alignment on solutions, integration architectures, and technical roadmaps
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Sales teams to identify and prioritize client opportunities that drive mutual business value
  • Develop scalable, repeatable solutions adapted to specific client requirements in collaboration with internal technical teams
  • Educate clients on Cognite Data Fusion® and related offerings to support successful adoption, solution integration, and value realization
  • Develop client-focused demos, reference architectures, and solution accelerators utilized by Cognite teams and customers
  • Represent Cognite in client meetings, workshops, and technical briefings, demonstrating technical capabilities
  • Own the design and coordination of complex solutions in collaboration with services team, partners, and clients
  • Contribute to scaling the organization by mentoring and onboarding peers, supporting best practice development, and strengthening Cognite’s technical community internally and externally
  • Handle all technical client and partner interactions before and during scaled solution deployments, including early-stage discussions, technical workshops, solution scoping, proof-of-value efforts, and “art of the possible” solutions
