Requirements

  • Experience leading and managing engineering teams in building, scaling, and maintaining marketing technology systems (e.g., Braze, segmentation, events management)
  • Ability to bridge content, data, and operations for effective marketing across in-game and external channels
  • Capability to oversee virtual teams, including members from Live Ops sub-domains and Game Platform’s Core Data team
  • Expertise in modernizing marketing technology for automated, scalable consumer messaging with high reliability, security, and compliance (e.g., privacy, GDPR/CCPA)
  • Proficiency in designing and overseeing APIs, services, real-time/batch data pipelines, self-serve APIs/SDKs, and data-exchange contracts
  • Skills in collaborating with Product, Marketing, Game Platform Core Data, and Live Ops stakeholders
  • Knowledge of data connectivity, reporting, attribution, identity, consent, and compliance components
  • Ability to drive standardization, platform-wide adoption, automation, data-quality monitoring, and cross-domain architecture reviews

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the team to evolve and maintain high-reliability marketing and engagement systems (e.g., Braze) that enable player engagement while respecting privacy
  • Modernize marketing technology and supporting systems to support marketers’ needs for automated, scalable consumer messaging
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing stakeholders to meet evolving business requirements
  • Drive standardization and platform-wide adoption of core marketing technology and tools
  • Design and oversee unified data-exchange contracts between Unified Platform services and third-party tools like Braze (events, attributes, consent flags)
  • Build and maintain real-time and batch pipelines for gameplay, economy, and segmentation data within defined SLAs
  • Expose self-serve APIs and SDKs for game teams to push data attributes or subscribe to campaign results without bespoke work
  • Orchestrate cross-domain architecture reviews with Game Platform Core Data and Live Ops for reuse of components
  • Automate data-quality monitoring and alerting
  • Manage dependencies on contributing teams to improve reporting, attribution, and automation for CRM activity
