Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
  • Extensive, proven experience in government relations, public policy, or related fields, with a deep understanding of the Chinese government and political system
  • Working experience in government agencies or public sector preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and learning agility, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to navigate multifaceted stakeholder relationships and translate complex policy landscapes for internal audiences
  • High proficiency in both spoken and written English

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans in the area of government relations and public policy to create a favorable business environment for The Coca-Cola Company in China
  • Lead engagement efforts with central government and quasi-government agencies to build trust and foster relationships essential for TCCC’s license to operate
  • Spearhead advocacy outreach to key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulators, and trade associations
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on geopolitical, macroeconomic, political, and legislative developments and trends to provide advice to company leadership
  • Drive execution of key partnership programs TCCC builds in China with government entities, trade associations, research institutes, and other organizations
  • Network with relevant internal stakeholders to develop positions and strategies that mitigate risks while maximizing opportunities arising from potential changes in government policies and regulations
  • Lead the team to drive effective deliverables, manage agency partnerships to optimal impact, and cultivate cross-functional teamwork to achieve shared objectives
  • Maintain close collaboration with global headquarters and local bottlers to ensure alignment on strategies, priorities, and tactical execution
