Requirements

Candidates should possess 10+ years of experience delivering industry and field marketing events for prospective customers and clients, preferably in B2B, with a strong understanding of how to leverage a complete marketing strategy via event execution. Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, teamwork, project management, problem-solving, and attention to detail are required, along with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and be a motivated self-starter who enjoys working independently as well as on a team. Familiarity with SFDC, project management platforms, building an event brief and strategic deck, and the ability to project manage with remote contributors and stakeholders efficiently and effectively are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director of Field & Event Marketing will drive the strategy, planning, and execution of compelling events and experiences, including industry events, hosted customer & prospect events, and partner event activations. They will define, plan, and manage the overall event strategy, including end-to-end management and execution, develop event strategies focused on maximizing StrongDM’s brand presence and engagement, lead pre-, onsite, and post-event initiatives, build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate closely, manage vendor and event agency relationships, oversee event budgets, actively participate in the annual planning process, work with marketing/creative to ensure consistent strategy/messaging, and deliver strategic event programs that drive measurable pipeline and revenue impact.
