Expertise in AWS services including EC2, API Gateway, Lambdas, Glue, S3, RDS, Data Zone
Proficiency in Data Bricks, Apache Spark, and Python
Experience with Enterprise Data Lake, research data repositories, data ingestion tools, and data quality frameworks
Ability to lead and provide oversight to Data Operations activities, including onboarding external labs and integrating biomarker datasets
Knowledge of AI/ML automations, including GenAI, Agentic AI, and emerging LLM models for ETL pipeline generation, data quality assessment, and data products
Skills in designing and developing data pipelines, integration work, electronic data collection, metadata management, lifecycle management, data quality assurance, parsing, transformations, extraction, and data enrichment through scripting
Innovative thinking to identify automation opportunities in data management and governance processes
Ability to contribute to solution design and be part of a small team focused on Research scientific data

Responsibilities

Develop applications, tools, frameworks, and automations to improve productivity of data operations team for data management activities
Develop and support architecture and framework for managing data quality, data integration, ETL automation, and metadata management
Develop and support data products for distributing commonly used datasets across research and translational medicine data scientists
Provide oversight to the data operations team focused on onboarding datasets from external labs
Develop documentation, APIs, data models, transformation rules to facilitate knowledge of scientific data repositories
Take technical ownership of applications, tools, and platforms used for research data management
Develop frameworks and automations for managing complex data pipelines, monitor data quality issues, and manage data access
Provide technical expertise in the capture and transformation of complex scientific data
Perform metadata management for downstream integration solutions
Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and best practice methodologies; ensure data is well governed, quality assured, and policies are followed
