Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Extensive hands-on experience with NetBackup, NetBackup Appliances, and Flex Appliances in professional services or client-facing roles
Demonstrated expertise in Windows and Linux administration
Proven track record working with VMware and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Exceptional client communication and relationship-building skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Solid understanding of data protection, disaster recovery, and backup best practices
Knowledge of container-based technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker
Relevant certifications (e.g., NetBackup-related)

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to understand business needs, objectives, and technical requirements
Design and propose tailored backup and recovery solutions leveraging NetBackup, NetBackup Appliances, and Flex Appliances
Conduct technical workshops and presentations to demonstrate solution value
Lead the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of NetBackup environments for clients
Perform system integrations with Windows, Linux, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and compliance standards
Serve as the escalation point for advanced technical challenges during and post-deployment
Analyse and resolve complex issues in backup environments
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize client environments for reliability and efficiency
Provide professional and timely technical support and consultation to clients
Deliver detailed project documentation, including architecture designs, configuration guides, and operational best practices
Ensure project milestones are met within scope, timeline, and budget
Assist in designing and deploying backup strategies for containerized environments, such as Kubernetes or Docker (optional)
Collaborate with clients exploring modernized infrastructure solutions (optional)
Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables
Train and mentor client teams to ensure smooth handover and knowledge transfer
Flexibility to travel outside of the region if required
