Requirements

Candidates should possess strong Linux and containerization engineering experience, along with strong AWS engineering experience. Proficiency in modern software development practices, including AI-assisted coding tools and the ability to write secure, maintainable code in JavaScript/Node.js, Python, and/or Golang, is required. A background in systems engineering, application development, or devops, or equivalent expertise, is necessary, as is experience with modern cloud infrastructure, containers, and SaaS applications. Experience managing large projects with numerous stakeholders and tight deadlines, and an understanding of common DevOps tools with the ability to contribute to automated workflows, are also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Cloud & Application Security Engineer will provide technical leadership to shape and research optimal solutions for Dataminr’s cybersecurity program, focusing on continuous improvement. Responsibilities include securing the deployment of modern containerized microservices and SaaS platforms at scale, contributing to AWS Dev-Sec-Ops initiatives and GIT ops optimization, and identifying risks and gaps within the current platform to drive future state solutions. The role also involves architecting a big-data solution for capturing and surfacing security events across large volumes of log data, and leveraging modern AI tooling to improve security and velocity while securing AI systems across the enterprise.
