Role Overview

As a Senior Business Program Manager within 1Password’s Engineering Operations (EngOps) team, you will shape the impact, culture, and health of our growing Technology organization, directly influencing how efficiently and effectively we deliver our product and infrastructure, and continuously advance our security posture. You’ll collaborate across Tech to build and support critical non-technical programs, from guiding org communication and knowledge management to optimizing developer training, mentorship, and tooling enablement.

You are invested in developing a positive and productive environment for learning and growth. You excel at turning complex challenges into actionable plans, creating meticulous roadmaps, and driving execution for tangible results. Your approach includes scoping solutions, building stakeholder buy-in, setting clear milestones, and communicating progress. Resourceful and hands-on, you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. You love to solve ambiguous problems, build clarity, and get things done.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for

  • Experience: 4-6 years of increasingly complex program or project management experience, ideally within a technology or product function. You have a strong understanding of how software organizations operate.
  • Problem-Solving: You enjoy tackling complex and ambiguous challenges, consistently driving toward effective and pragmatic solutions. You can navigate shifting priorities and make good game-time decisions.
  • Execution: You have a track record of building detailed project timelines, setting clear milestones, and keeping project teams on track throughout execution, managing projects of increasing complexity and scope.
  • Collaboration: You’re experienced at developing strong, collaborative relationships and working cross-functionally in a remote-first or remote-only environment spanning multiple countries and time zones.
  • Communication: You have exceptional communication skills. You can draft clear, concise, and impactful comms, build compelling decks, and create & maintain comprehensive documentation. When communicating across an organization, you know how to sequence and tailor your messaging and calls to action effectively for different audiences in different channels.
  • Organization & Adaptability: You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, and you can zoom in and out as needed to focus on the most important things. We move fast and work on many projects at once; you love tackling a variety of challenges across your week.
  • AI Curiosity: You’re curious about AI and have spent time figuring out how to use it to enhance your work. You’d be excited to identify and develop effective ways to integrate AI and other tools into our team operations and programs.
  • Bonus: Experience with Notion and/or JIRA is a plus but not required.
