Requirements

Candidates should have over 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar Business Intelligence role. They must possess expertise in SQL and relational databases, including query writing, database definition, and schema design, along with a strong understanding of data visualization principles for communicating complex data. Proven experience in owning and improving BI platform governance, such as Looker, focusing on model ownership, reporting consolidation, and sustainable maintenance, is required. Additionally, demonstrated experience leading BI adoption and enablement initiatives, like trainings and documentation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to drive data-informed decisions are essential. The ideal candidate is self-directed, accountable, and capable of creating structure in undefined areas.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will take ownership and set the direction for scalable BI practices to support company-wide decision-making. Responsibilities include revamping and streamlining the Looker instance, establishing governance processes, and enabling self-service analytics for stakeholders. The role involves partnering with product and engineering teams to analyze product performance, identify trends, and drive product strategy. Collaboration with the data engineering team on BI layer development and scaling BI reporting is also a key responsibility. Furthermore, the analyst will partner with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering to address ad hoc product and business analytics requests.
