The role demands expertise in SQL with a proven history of creating accurate and performant queries, and experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, or BigQuery. Demonstrated ability to enable self-service for non-technical teams through templates, documentation, and training, along with strong communication skills and experience working directly with stakeholders, are essential. Curiosity about applying AI tools to accelerate analytics tasks is also valued.
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for building dbt models and SQL datasets to analyze product usage, funnels, cohorts, and customer journeys. This role involves establishing relationships with Product and Compliance stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points, and creating parameterized SQL templates and a reusable code library for the Compliance team, including documentation and training. The analyst will add tests and checks to ensure data accuracy, surface exceptions, edge cases, and anomalies, and coordinate with Product, Compliance, and Engineering teams on instrumentation, access controls, and report modifications. Additionally, the analyst will expand documentation and guides for data models and common queries, and serve as a hands-on resource for SQL and visualization across the organization.
