Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements sales strategy for Gilead portfolio of products
  • Responsible for sales effort and achieving geographic product revenue and expense targets
  • Liaises with Medical, Sales, and Marketing for effective communication and implementation of strategies
  • Establishes effective relationships with key opinion leaders locally and nationally to influence prescribing policies
  • Ensures monitoring systems are in place to evaluate sales force effectiveness
  • Establishes and meets team developmental needs, creates learning plans, and provides mentoring/coaching
  • Oversees and manages team (direct reports and third-party providers) for compliance with ethics, business conduct, U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and Chinese laws
  • Combines market strategies to formulate and implement regional sales planning
  • Builds academic platforms in HIV treatment area, establishes external customer communication channels, and ensures brand promotion and academic influence
  • Drives regional Medicare policy implementation, hospital development/access, and achievement of marketing/sales targets through collaboration and resource utilization
  • Effectively manages, coaches, motivates, and develops team to build high-performance team aligned with integrity, compliance, and Gilead culture
