Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Biology or Genetics, or a Master's degree or Ph.D., and have at least four years of commercial sales experience or equivalent laboratory experience combined with customer-facing experience. Capital equipment sales experience is required, along with a strong Genetics and Molecular Biology foundation and preferred knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping methods. Deep knowledge and relationships with decision makers/influencers and leading researchers in the sequencing and spatial biology community are also desired.
The Sales Representative will develop a strong understanding of Element technology, establish and execute strategies for obtaining new customers and maintaining/growing existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in North Texas, OK, CO, KS, and NM, take an analytical approach to solving issues and opportunities, present versatile solutions during customer negotiations, learn and adapt from experiences, work effectively in a team environment to drive revenue, and manage customer relationships post-sale.
