Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. They must have at least 5 years of consultative sales experience, preferably in molecular testing, life sciences, or a similar market, and a proven track record in selling capital equipment such as q/dPCR or capillary electrophoresis. Strong knowledge of molecular workflows, including quantitative PCR, digital PCR, and sequencing, is required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Genetic Testing Sales Representative will concentrate on growing the company’s genetic testing business across areas such as pharmacogenomics, infectious disease, and oncology within the Southern California and Bay Area territories, specifically Orange County and Riverside. The role involves selling the company’s portfolio of molecular testing products, leveraging consultative selling strategies to understand customer needs and priorities, developing and implementing a territory business plan, accurately forecasting the territory sales funnel, and providing voice-of-customer feedback to cross-functional teams. Additionally, the representative will collaborate with various teams, sales teams, channel partners, and internal business partners to drive accelerated revenue growth and maintain strong customer relationships.
