Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Pharmaceutical Science, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field of study, along with a minimum of 2 years of sales experience within the life sciences field or related experience. They must have knowledge or experience with qPCR, dPCR, Sanger sequencing, Capillary Electrophoresis, and microarray, and experience in selling within academic, industrial, and federal government accounts. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate capital sales competence, including funnel management skills, strong hunting and prospecting abilities, and effective closing techniques.

Responsibilities

The Instrument Sales Representative III will build successful account and territory plans, translating territory strategy into business results, and creating territory planning using market knowledge and accurate forecasting. They will develop and lead a business plan to meet or exceed business goals, manage the entire sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking through Salesforce, and utilize scientific project and business needs of the customer to position a GA solution. The role also involves actively promoting and selling consumables, traveling up to 75% of the time for domestic and international travel, and working remotely or telecommuting while reporting to company headquarters in Waltham, MA.
