The position requires an account executive who is a skilled communicator in first engagements and discovery calls, analyzing prospect needs to qualify opportunities. They must be proficient in presenting the value of SailPoint solutions and comparing them to competitors like Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt. The role demands the ability to provide a superior customer experience, competitively position solutions and partner services, and lead virtual teams including partners, presales, deal desk, professional services, BVA team, and customer success. The candidate must be able to create territory or opportunity plans, work with leadership to refine sales strategies, and act as a team quarterback by taking initiative and preparing team members for calls.
The Account Executive will exceed revenue quota goals quarterly and yearly, address customer and partner inquiries with tailored solutions, and develop business plans aligned to their assigned territory. They will strategically engage with customers and partners to maintain high customer service levels, collaborate with marketing on plans, and pursue leads while updating internal systems. The role involves leading technical resources to demonstrate SailPoint's advantages, following up with customers post-sale to ensure ongoing coverage and new sales opportunities, and owning the entire sales cycle from qualifying to closing. Responsibilities also include understanding the territory's customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and competitors, communicating competitive product and technological strategies, and managing discussions across all customer organizational levels. The executive must utilize channel management and reporting tools, including accurate forecasting and Salesforce.
