Requirements

Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge and experience with VMware solutions such as VCF and SRM, and preferably have knowledge of Broadcom configuration or sizing tools. The role requires the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, a results-driven and entrepreneurial mindset, and strong business and sales acumen. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer-focused abilities are essential, along with industry certifications or experience in modern infrastructure, cloud, or AI solutions. The ability to conduct effective group presentations and trainings is also necessary. A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a 4-year degree, or 6 years with an advanced degree, or equivalent experience is required.

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will provide technical direction and business guidance to channel partners in North America, focusing on partner enablement through innovative technical programs and daily technical account activities. Responsibilities include evangelizing, positioning, and architecting VMware solutions, working with sales and marketing to develop penetration strategies and sales enablement plans, and driving leads from identification to sale completion. The role involves providing technical leadership and pre-sales support for channel partners and sales staff, leading the discovery, analysis, design, demonstration, and refinement of integrated technology solutions, and acting as a technical expert and consultant to propose solutions that meet partner and end-user requirements. The Sales Engineer will also make technical and sales presentations, create and produce channel-ready technical content for social media, serve as a trusted technology influencer and internal resource, build relationships with account teams, partners, and end-users, lead VMware technical sales calls, and qualify sales opportunities based on end-customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process, and funding.
