Performance Marketing Specialist

Position Overview

Zinnia is seeking a data-obsessed Performance Marketing Specialist who excels at translating performance metrics into actionable media decisions. This role involves hands-on paid media execution, with a strong focus on SEM, channel attribution, reporting, and insights. You will manage and optimize search campaigns, test new paid channels, and contribute to building the infrastructure for understanding performance across platforms and funnel stages. Your work will be instrumental in evolving our reporting and attribution approach to reduce Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), optimize spend, and support smarter growth decisions.

Responsibilities:

Channel Execution & Optimization

  • Manage Google and Bing Ads campaigns daily, focusing on lead volume, cost efficiency, and quality.
  • Test emerging channels (e.g., YouTube, Reddit, Spotify, Quora) and provide performance assessments.
  • Optimize bids, budgets, audiences, and creative based on data insights.

Attribution & Analytics

  • Own daily channel reporting and performance dashboards using tools like GA4, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Collaborate with developers on improving attribution logic, UTM tracking, and first-party data usage.
  • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly performance summaries, including insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Identify multi-touch and cross-channel attribution trends to inform spend allocation.
  • Contribute to evolving our approach to creative performance tracking, landing page A/B test reporting, and CAC forecasting.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with SEO, Content, and Development teams to ensure full-funnel alignment and campaign impact.
  • Provide insights for creative testing initiatives and help validate campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop automation or GPT-based solutions for tagging, trafficking, and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in a performance marketing or growth analytics role.
  • Direct experience managing SEM campaigns in Google Ads; Bing experience is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Looker, GA4, Excel/Google Sheets, and attribution/reporting frameworks.
  • Familiarity with UTM parameters, pixel implementation, and conversion tracking.
  • Curiosity to explore underutilized media channels and conduct tests with clear metrics.
  • Ability to connect marketing tactics to business goals such as CAC, Lifetime Value (LTV), and quality outcomes.
