Requirements

Candidates must possess excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with strong customer-facing abilities for C-Level and Developers. Linux experience is mandatory, and familiarity with databases (NoSQL, Relational, Distributed, MPP) and Hadoop ecosystems (Spark, HBase, HDFS, Hive, Impala) is required. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of prioritizing and completing work with minimal supervision, able to work well under pressure, possesses independent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and understands the complexities of mission-critical applications. Feedback requirements must be communicated to product management and engineering.

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will prepare and develop technical presentations to explain Aerospike's products and services to customers, discuss equipment needs and system requirements with customers and engineers, and collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support. Responsibilities also include generating sales leads, following up with clients, securing and renewing orders, researching and modifying products to meet customer needs, assisting customers with installed product issues, recommending best practices for upgrades, soliciting and logging client feedback to inform sales and marketing strategies, identifying areas for improvement and communicating them with solutions to management, setting and achieving sales goals, and training other sales team members on product technical aspects. The role involves enabling customers and partners through various training sessions and meetups.
