Candidates should have sales engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience such as analytics, data science, or data engineering. Outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences are essential, along with a solid understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology. Hands-on experience with SQL and the ability to solve customer-specific business problems using Snowflake’s solutions are required. Strong customer-facing skills for effective communication with diverse technical and executive audiences, both written and verbal, are preferred.
The Sales Engineer will work directly with the account sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs and strategize support for their evaluations. They will present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors, demonstrate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, and create technical champions within accounts. The role involves collaborating with other sales engineers, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and marketing efforts. Additionally, they will represent Snowflake at industry events and work with partners to build joint architectures and account strategies.
