Requirements

Candidates must have 7+ years of cybersecurity presales experience, with 10+ years preferred. A strong network of US Federal and Federal Channel Technical Contacts is essential. Experience with link analysis tools such as Maltego, IBM I2 Analyst Notebook, or Palantir is preferred. Familiarity with cloud-based security solutions, APIs, SIEMs (Splunk, Elastic, etc.), and scripting languages (Python, Bash) is also preferred. Candidates should possess strong presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands in a rapidly evolving environment. An active TS or TS/SCI security clearance is a plus, and residing in the Washington, DC metro area is ideal. Familiarity with compliance standards like NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CMMC, and TIC 3.0 is also beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer will partner with the Federal sales team to present SpyCloud solutions, tailoring them to unique customer use cases and environments. Responsibilities include leveraging SpyCloud data to hunt adversaries and applying this knowledge to specific customer situations. The role involves driving channel partnerships through solution architect/SME engagement, conducting product demonstrations, technical presentations, requirements analysis, and evaluation management. The Sales Engineer will contribute to the technical sections of proposals and respond to RFIs/RFPs, as well as collaborate with Federal Channel Partners to support joint sales opportunities, training, and go-to-market activities. They will guide Federal customers in the technical integration of SpyCloud’s solutions, act as a trusted advisor to help customers derive maximum value from the platform, and relay field intelligence and Federal-specific product feedback to internal teams.
