A self-disciplined, organized, and ambitious nature with the capacity to consistently meet daily and monthly objectives is necessary. A BA/BS degree or equivalent, 3 years of sales experience, and proficiency with Salesforce.com and HubSpot are preferred. Understanding and the ability to communicate at a high level with professionals in investor relations, financial reporting, public relations, marketing, and corporate communications is also preferred.
The Sales Development Representative Prospector will nurture, maintain, and cultivate customer relationships and success from prospected, inactive, and current client accounts. This role involves making 50-75 calls daily to prospective clients, including initial outreach and ongoing strategic targeting, to onboard them as new clients. Responsibilities include contacting customers via telephone, email, and social media to convey knowledge and position oneself as a resource in relevant industries. The SDR will field incoming inquiries from prospective clients regarding pricing, billing, product information, and other related questions. They will develop a thorough understanding of the industry, products, services, and competitors, effectively communicating the value proposition and ROI of Business Wire's offerings. Accurate record-keeping of all sales activities in Salesforce CRM is required. The SDR will manage expectations, overcome objections, and work collaboratively to achieve shared results. Researching prospects and identifying stakeholders to generate interest and create rapport are key duties.
