Requirements

  • 0-2 years in an outside sales position (medical related fields preferable)
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required
  • Field sales training (in-field training)
  • Successful completion of in-house product training program
  • Computer training
  • Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Ability to communicate with large groups of people
  • Ability to communicate telephonically
  • Ability to use common office equipment (e.g., fax, modem, calculator, PC)
  • Up to 25% travel (including up to 20% overnight annually)
  • Ability to drive an automobile
  • Ability to negotiate price and terms of transactions

Responsibilities

  • Assists Sales Representatives in the marketing, promotion, and sales of Stryker products
  • Educates and informs doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff on proper use, maintenance, functionality, updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs
  • Tailors Stryker’s promotional message based on customer knowledge, advises on product selection, answers questions on functionality, and distinguishes Stryker products from competitors
  • Directs product evaluations in OR and office settings
  • Assists in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings
  • Keeps regional manager informed of territory progress regularly
  • Solves product problems for customers expeditiously
  • Manages and maintains a sample inventory of products
  • Works directly with Sales Representative to plan, direct, and coordinate selling, marketing, and promotion of Stryker products to physicians
  • Performs in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability and volume per pre-set standards
