Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. They must demonstrate the ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 3 hours at a time, and the physical capabilities to move about the workplace, including grabbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to demonstrate and retrieve merchandise. Furthermore, candidates should be able to ascend and descend ladders, operate a computer and POS system, and work a varied schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by assisting customers with product information, location, pricing, and availability, processing sales transactions and returns, and proactively seeking out customers to determine their needs. They must maintain product knowledge, access training resources, work as part of a team to achieve sales goals, demonstrate products upon request, follow Sur La Table policies and procedures, maintain a clean store environment, process transactions accurately, ensure pricing integrity, replenish the sales floor, demonstrate communication skills, protect customers and assets, and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
