Current role as Staff or District Support Pharmacist at CVS Health
Passion for transforming health care and genuine care for patients
Ability to act as a role model, mentor, and guide for the pharmacy team
Commitment to completing a self-paced, collaborative training roadmap (typically 3-6 months) with virtual and hands-on learning
Compliance with all legal, regulatory guidelines, and workplace policies
Prior leadership experience (inside or outside CVS Health) influencing program length

Responsibilities

Model CVS Health values, purpose, and best practices while working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful patient counseling, and ensuring safe dispensing
Support the Pharmacy Manager by exhibiting best practices, overseeing the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts without overlap, and providing feedback on team performance
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Strengthen pharmacy performance through effective coaching, consistent follow-up of team members, and improving measures
Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing adherence to pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and proactively resolving insurance/medication issues
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, and engage/support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching team on best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and take on increasing accountability for management, oversight, and operation of all pharmacy aspects as readiness increases
