Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Drive engagement, training, and educational programs for customers and teammates in climbing
  • Monitor climbing activities and provide assistance to climbers
  • Direct workflow and oversee daily operations of the climb department under the Assistant Store Manager
  • Drive the highest level of customer service, engaging in company service and selling standards
  • Provide consultative advice with excellent product knowledge
  • Instruct climbing techniques and teach lessons as needed
  • Supervise climb sessions
  • Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation, including floor sets, signing, price changes, replenishment, recovery, and in-stock processes
  • Assist store management with general supervision, including opening/closing the store, Front End, and Cash Office functions
  • Assist with department scheduling, directing workflow, daily guide assignments, and monitoring project status
  • Communicate company initiatives, programs, and promotions to department guides
  • Identify and correct safety concerns with the rock wall and climbing equipment, maintaining loss prevention standards
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and ensuring compliance of safety-related standard operating procedures for the building, service areas, climbing wall, and field
  • Ensure safety and security of teammates, customers, and property per local regulations
  • Ensure all certifications are completed and up to date
  • Assist with training associates on company procedures and programs, including new hire and cross-training
  • Train and mentor new hires by sharing experience, knowledge, best practices, and timely feedback
  • Manage team-building events at the rock wall with guides
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
