Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Equivalent military education
- Participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program
- High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment
- Analytical and communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Willingness to be available after hours or work a rotating On-Call schedule
Responsibilities
- Evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues
- Implement appropriate repairs
- Perform PM and safety/environmental inspections as assigned
- Assist experienced technicians on repairs/resolution
- Communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues
- Follow GE policies, procedures, and hospital protocol
- Complete necessary documentation
- Maintain daily communications with customers
- Implement GE/customer facility contract as instructed
- Provide efficient service delivery to all accounts
- Share on-call responsibility when trained
- Document repair actions and submit reports/summaries
- Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment
- Enhance and maintain technical knowledge
- Understand and utilize sources of help to answer questions
- Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements
