Requirements

  • Expertise in employee relations, including conducting needs analysis, matching HR solutions to gaps, and serving as escalation point for complex issues

  • Experience supporting administration of collective bargaining agreements in union facilities
  • Capability to lead and influence talent calibrations (e.g., TAPP, STR, MYR, YER)
  • Skills in facilitating timely resolution of employee relations issues while balancing employee and management advocacy
  • Ability to identify training needs and implement development programs
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels (Area Leaders, Area President, Front-line Managers)
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture, championing diversity and inclusion

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a pivotal link between Area Director, Human Resources, and various sites within the Region to enhance HR support
  • Collaborate with area leadership and managers to execute strategic people initiatives and align HR strategy with business objectives
  • Assist the Region HR Business Leader in executing the vision, direction, and goals of the HR function across the region, stepping into area-level roles as needed
  • Lead or support special HR projects to improve processes, culture, or engagement, aligning with business objectives
  • Provide regular updates to the Region HR Business Leader on key metrics and insights related to talent management, employee engagement, and HR initiatives
  • Lead and influence recruitment efforts, support hiring decisions, and develop talent strategies; support Region talent calibrations
  • Facilitate timely resolution of employee relations issues, act as trusted advisor on HR policies, support ER efforts across markets, and drive consistent ER approaches
  • Collaborate with area leadership to identify training needs and implement development programs, including market-specific training (e.g., Difficult Conversations)
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to build relationships and ensure alignment with HR strategies
  • Contribute to cultural stewardship by creating a safe, inclusive, engaging workplace and championing diversity initiatives
  • Drive achievement of key results for the Region and ensure a genuine safety culture
