Requirements

  • 10+ Years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, value-based care and/or population health
  • 5 years in P&L leadership roles in managed care, provider groups, or integrated delivery systems
  • Demonstrated success in managing value-based care contracts, risk-bearing entities, or capitated models
  • Strong financial acumen, with proven ability to manage large budgets and deliver against growth and margin targets
  • Deep understanding of Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, and/or commercial risk-sharing arrangements
  • Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills with payers, providers, and regulators
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment while balancing strategic and operational priorities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or healthcare related field

Responsibilities

  • Owns the financial, operational, clinical and member service results at the regional level
  • Mentors, hires, trains, coaches, counsels and educates the performance of market vice presidents and other market leaders, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborates with the People Team on strategic workforce planning, succession planning, performance reviews, leadership development, and employee relations
  • Attracts and retains top talent that strengthens both company culture and business and human impact
  • Establishes a trust-based partnership with Cityblock’s clinical leadership teams (both within assigned markets and nationally) that supports the design, implementation and management of operations that reinforce the Cityblock model of care to achieve goals
  • Drives a data-driven culture, with consistent approaches to setting performance targets, forecasting and managing ongoing performance improvement
  • Owns all business operations, budgeting and administrative activities that support assigned market(s) to drive high value performance and a lean operating model
  • Oversees the operations of a large distributed workforce that spans multiple roles (both clinical and non-clinical) and diverse geographies
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (local and federal)
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to solve operational and programmatic concerns
  • Actively listens for underlying or foundational root causes to issues and/or constructive feedback from front-line management and staff. Empowers, motivates, recognizes, and inspires team members to take action and own their impact
