Requirements

  • At least 16 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working with the public (preferred)
  • Effective communication skills, oral & written
  • Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Neat & clean appearance in compliance with company grooming standards
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Knowledgeable about all aspects of Palisades Tahoe or able to locate information; general knowledge of Alpine (preferred)
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer and forklift (preferred)
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including exposure to outside winter weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner
  • Greet all guests and answer questions about Palisades Tahoe activities and equipment
  • Assist in setting up activity equipment
  • Ensure all guests know the activity rules
  • Conduct safety training and assist guests with becoming familiar with the operation of the activity, safety, and procedures
  • Rent equipment, process cash, credit cards or debit payments, and perform account closeout at the end of the day
  • Maintain the tube runs, ice rink, or snowmobile track; shovel or rake snow to provide a consistent surface
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the activity area; pick up litter, empty trash, snow removal as necessary; ensure facility maintains a clean and professional appearance
  • Assist with the cleaning, repair, inspection, and maintenance of the activity equipment
  • Operate heavy equipment such as Zamboni, holder, skid-steer, and forklift to remove snow and clear Ice Skating Rink (may)
