Candidates must reside in Virginia and possess a Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare or managed care, specifically with provider contracting, network management, provider relations, value-based payment, and/or quality, is required. Additionally, 2 or more years of demonstrated project management experience and experience partnering with senior leadership on strategic initiatives are necessary. Proven planning, preparation, and presenting skills, along with established knowledge of reimbursement and bonus methodologies, are essential. Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, exceptional relationship management skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial trends for healthcare costs, administrative expenses, and quality/bonus performance, as well as proficiency in quality improvement principles and analyzing quality metrics like HEDIS, is necessary. A comprehensive understanding of Medicaid policies, processes, and procedures, including managed care contracts, contract language, and reimbursement, is also required.
The Provider Engagement Executive will develop and grow positive, long-term relationships with physicians, providers, and healthcare systems to support and improve financial and quality performance within the health plan's contracted working relationship. This role involves addressing problems of diverse scope and complexity related to financial performance, incentive programs, quality and clinical management, population health, data sharing, connectivity, documentation and coding, HEDIS and STARs performance, and operational improvements. The executive will advise executives on functional strategies and exercise independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues.
