Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, business, or a related industry, and possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably with external customer projects. Experience working within customers’ IT departments is desired, along with knowledge of networking, virtual server deployments, IT security concerns, remote connectivity, and software deployment methodology. Healthcare environment experience is also preferred, and PMP or other relevant industry certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

The Project Specialist will be responsible for the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of Hillrom Care Communications projects, acting as the primary point of contact for all client project-related needs during an active implementation. This includes project planning, resource allocation and coordination, project risk assessment and mitigation, revenue forecasting, customer communication, and internal partner management. The role involves hosting meetings, translating technical information, understanding customer challenges, offering custom solutions, defining revenue management strategies, and balancing customer backlogs. Additionally, the Project Specialist will travel up to 20% of the time and provide support to the sales team during long-term planning sessions.
