Position Overview

Twilio is seeking a Program Manager to lead the strategic vision and operational execution of in-person gatherings for its global, remote-first workforce. This role is crucial for fostering connection and culture within the company.

About the Job

With over 5,000 employees worldwide, in-person gatherings are vital to Twilio's remote-first culture. The Program Manager will be responsible for architecting and implementing strategies that enhance these connections, reporting to the Senior Director, People Planning & Spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Define Our Vision:
    • Assess the current state of in-person gatherings.
    • Gather and analyze data to identify pain points and opportunities.
    • Understand existing tools and vendor landscape.
  • Build the Strategy & Roadmap:
    • Develop a future state for in-person gatherings aligned with company goals and scalable globally.
    • Create a clear, data-driven roadmap incorporating current platforms and vendor partnerships (e.g., Reed & Mackay, Navan, Gable).
  • Operationalize & Execute:
    • Implement the roadmap, ensuring seamless execution from program design to task completion.
    • Effectively utilize existing tools, resources, and vendor partnerships.
  • Measure & Iterate:
    • Establish and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including employee/team engagement and spend.
    • Define new metrics to continuously improve the program.
    • Implement systems to track gathering frequency, purpose, and outcomes.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally:
    • Serve as a key member of the “open work” committee.
    • Drive alignment with procurement, corporate security, real estate, legal, and other departments.
    • Ensure program updates align with cross-functional priorities and vendor usage.
  • Provide Executive Updates:
    • Present program strategy, progress, and results to senior leaders.
    • Influence and secure buy-in at executive, director, and manager levels.
  • Manage Program Resources & Communications:
    • Own and maintain all resources related to the in-person gatherings program.
    • Audit, update, and maintain internal intranet pages (Switchboard).
    • Develop and execute communication campaigns for program updates.
    • Ensure employees have accessible and up-to-date information and tools for gatherings.
