Candidates should have 6-8 years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, with specific expertise in pricing and packaging strategy. They must be able to conduct a current-state gap analysis within 30 days, begin testing future-state recommendations by day 60, and deliver actionable pricing recommendations and go-to-market plans by day 90. A deep understanding of PLG models, including freemium, usage-based pricing, activation metrics, and self-serve funnels, is required, along with proven experience leading pricing overhauls or experiments at scale. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with pricing research methodologies are essential, as is experience developing and applying ICPs to pricing, positioning, and GTM planning. Experience with pricing SaaS tools for nonprofits, SMBs, or mission-driven organizations, and a background in economics, finance, or business strategy are preferred.
The Product Marketing Manager will lead a critical initiative around pricing and packaging strategy for PLG and traditional SaaS products, focusing on developing, testing, and rolling out optimized monetization strategies. They will work cross-functionally with product, sales, growth, business ops, data science, and customer success to evolve pricing structures and packaging into a scalable engine for growth. Key responsibilities include evaluating current pricing and packaging models, conducting market and customer research, developing monetization frameworks, defining and refining ICPs, running pricing experiments, driving GTM readiness through collateral, training, and communications, owning end-to-end execution of pricing initiatives, and tracking and optimizing performance based on data and customer feedback.
