- 3+ years of experience managing and scaling technical teams of six or more engineers
- Proven success leading teams that build and scale backend or platform systems in transaction-heavy domains
- Track record of guiding product and long-term technical strategy
- Strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality
- Experience hiring, managing, and upleveling senior individual contributors
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, and go-to-market stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, and mentor a talented team of backend and full-stack engineers building core monetization systems
- Define and execute technical strategy for a unified monetization platform that integrates seamlessly with Finance and GTM Ops, supports multiple sales models (self-serve, direct enterprise, and partner-driven), and establishes shared best practices in data modeling, distributed systems design, and developer experience
- Platformize entitlements, purchasing, and billing—enabling other product teams to manage customer access and pricing logic through scalable, well-defined APIs and reusable UX components
- Champion operational excellence, promoting strong engineering practices, sustainable delivery, and high reliability as the team scales
