Requirements

  • Fluency in Chinese and excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical field or technical management. Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree or MBA
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Product Management or a related field such as Product Planning or Product Development. Preferred candidates will have experience with both product planning and execution/development activities
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Hold responsibility for select product series within the iRobot Floor Care product portfolio. Demonstrate the experience, quality of thinking, and multi-tasking skills necessary to successfully execute on current generation robots while planning next generation products and experiences
  • Influence thinking with regards to iRobot and partner product roadmaps. Become familiar with your customers’ needs and the competitive landscape. Communicate fluently in English and Chinese and present the product roadmap internally and to partner organizations
  • Actively partner with development and supply partners to improve the frequency and quality of iRobot partner engagements. Learn about partner roadmaps and how to best map them to iRobot portfolio plans. Strengthen partner networks and support partner negotiation and resolution of key product definition or program execution topics
  • Support the creation and maintenance of product assets such as PRFAQs, Product Requirements Documents and SKU plans that conceptualize the product vision and benefits, capture requirements, define functionality and commercialization plans, and set product goals in a clear and actionable format
  • Develop and maintain business cases for your product line in partnership with organizations such as Finance, Sales, and Operations. Practice Design to Value principles that identify the key feature pricing and cost savings considerations necessary for the right balance of customer value and profitable gross margin
  • Represent Product on cross-functional program teams and partner with R&D, Operations, and Design/UX to define and deliver on product visions by making the right design, feature, experience, and cost tradeoff decisions encountered during development
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Research, Marketing, Sales, and R&D to assess competitive, market, and technology trends, and identify new product innovation opportunities that can be brought to market
  • Have accountability to deliver on holistic product launch commitments, including market entry timing, product capabilities, user experience, cost, and business results
  • Monitor key product success metrics post-launch including sell through performance, customer satisfaction, and star ratings. Work across teams to leverage data, generate insights and support action plans that improve lifetime product line success and inform next-generation planning
