The ideal candidate will have previous experience in process automation-oriented enterprise software and low-code configuration tools, along with technical expertise in SaaS application architecture. A history of using customer and market research to drive decision-making, the ability to bring order to complex systems by identifying patterns in customer usage, and a proven track record of delivering successful enterprise software or SaaS products are essential. Proven stakeholder management skills working with cross-functional teams to influence and lead across geographically distributed organizations, and proven experience working in a product-driven company building successful solutions are also required. Previous experience presenting product vision, business results, and driving collaborative discussions among large teams to business stakeholders and executives is necessary.
The Product Manager will serve as the voice of the customer, focusing on the external aspects of a product's lifecycle including marketing, sales enablement, customer feedback, and go-to-market strategies. Responsibilities include defining business use cases with customers and stakeholders, communicating business value and technical rationale, and defining strategies for implementation pricing and revenue opportunities. The role involves defining and validating product strategy, ensuring released features meet strategy and business goals, and evangelizing Accela's strategy while gathering ideas for roadmap discussions. The Product Manager will evangelize solutions and best practices, act as the voice of the market through customer interactions, and ensure smooth adoption of new product features by learning release details. They will also provide education and train the sales field on new product initiatives, act as the voice of the customer when collaborating with inbound product managers, and collaborate with Product Marketing on go-to-market materials. Engaging directly with customers to lead adoption, referenceability, and documentation of success stories, evaluating market opportunities with Sales teams, and maintaining a firm grasp of the competitive landscape are key duties. The role also includes defining product positioning, collaborating with leadership to define and validate success criteria, building KPIs to track product performance and usage, and managing the experimentation lifecycle for product initiatives. A significant responsibility is speaking proficiently about Accessibility, ADA laws, and their impact on products and customers, including relationships with WCAG.
