Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, along with 12-15 years of experience in software development. Strong programming skills in C/C++ are required, alongside expertise in IPSec/SSL VPN and Firewall technologies, and a robust networking background including routing and switching. Proven experience in data path development using DPDK, coupled with knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies, is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Principal Software Engineer - SASE will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, installing, configuring, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting new and existing hardware/virtual platforms for both on-prem and cloud environments, proactively working on improving the quality and performance of Silver Peak’s EdgeConnect product. They will analyze customer requirements, propose novel solutions to integrate SASE and SD-WAN technologies, and implement these solutions, demonstrating a security-first mindset and considering user experience.
