Description: Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - SASE to develop highly secure SD-WAN/SASE products for on-prem and cloud environments. This role focuses on analyzing customer requirements, proposing solutions, and architecting/implementing those solutions. Software performance engineering is a key responsibility. This is a US-based position primarily working remotely with a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

• Education: BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Programming Skills: Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
• Networking Expertise: Strong networking background, including routing, switching technologies.
• Security Technologies: Expertise in IPSec/SSL VPN and Firewall technologies.
• Data Path Development: Proven background in data path development, preferably using DPDK.
• Software Development: Strong multicore software development background.
• Virtualization & Containerization: Expertise in Virtualization and Containerization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Architect, design, develop, install, configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot new/existing hardware/virtual platforms for on-prem and cloud environments.
• Product Improvement: Proactively work on improving the quality and performance of Silver Peak’s EdgeConnect product.
• Solution Proposal: Analyze customer requirements and propose novel solutions to integrate SASE and SD-WAN technologies.
• Implementation: Implement solutions based on architectural designs.
