Requirements

  • University bachelor’s degree with engineering context (masters is a plus)
  • Experience in software development
  • Familiarity with infotainment and software as a service
  • 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry (OEM’s, Tier 1’s)
  • Customer-facing experience, customer focused approach
  • High proficiency in oral and written communication/presentation skills in Japanese and English
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong team-player, self-motivated
  • Proficient computer user
  • Experience with speech solutions is a plus (but not a requirement)

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers (OEM’s, Tier 1’s) primarily in the automotive industry and adjacent markets (2-wheeler, trucks) on-site
  • Understand customer business needs, value drivers, and technical requirements
  • Position Cerence innovations, products, solutions, and services accordingly
  • Lead and manage solution definitions
  • Lead and manage RFQ / RFI responses
  • Lead and manage effort and cost estimates
  • Lead and manage creation of statements of work
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders (account management, professional services, engineering) and external stakeholders (customer side)
  • Design and provide presentations to customers, selling value propositions and solutions based on the corresponding technical setup
  • Present product and solution demos to customers
