They should possess 5+ years of professional software development experience and 3+ years of experience leading software development teams. Required technical skills include experience with Linux, scripting languages like Bash/Shell and Python, and proficiency with issue tracking and configuration management tools such as Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, and Git. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills are essential. Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evening/night meetings, are also necessary. A basic understanding of robotics systems is required.
The Principal Software Team Lead will provide technical leadership and be responsible for the professional growth of team members. They will collaborate with customer teams to develop tool roadmaps and define technical strategy and tooling solutions for autonomy, software test, and system validation. This role involves leading cross-functional initiatives to build comprehensive testing solutions and collaborating with designers, autonomy engineers, and cloud engineers. The lead will also assist developers, test engineers, simulation designers, and vehicle operators in their work.
