Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline, with at least 12 years of experience in a Technical Support role or a similar customer-facing technical function. Essential qualifications include excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, the ability to collaborate effectively in global teams, expertise in writing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex SQL queries on distributed systems/MPP architecture, an expert-level understanding of query profiles and execution plans, strong knowledge of RDBMS, SQL data types, and functions, and a good understanding of Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure ecosystems. Experience troubleshooting database connectivity issues and on various operating systems (Windows, Mac) is also required.
Responsibilities
The Principal Priority Support Engineer will drive technical solutions for complex customer problems, providing in-depth analysis and guidance via email, web, and phone, while adhering to response and resolution SLAs. Responsibilities include utilizing the Snowflake environment, connectors, and tools for issue investigation, documenting solutions in the knowledge base, and reporting well-documented bugs and feature requests to Engineering. The role also involves proactively identifying recommendations, leading initiatives to improve product quality and customer experience, training and mentoring support staff, and providing support coverage during holidays and weekends as needed.
